The United States has authorized the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of equipment for precision bombs to Israel as the country fights to eradicate Hamas after last month’s terrorist attacks.
The Biden administration sent the formal notification to Congress on October 31 of its authorization to allow the sale of $320 million worth of Spice Family Gliding Bomb Assemblies, which are weapons kits that turn unguided bombs into precision guided bombs, to Israel.
The order comes on top of another order for the same kits that was valued at over $400 million that the Trump administration sought congressional approval for in 2020.
