President Donald Trump nominated Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyer Emil Bove to be a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in a Truth Social post Wednesday.

Bove, a previous defense attorney for Trump, was serving as acting deputy attorney general in the DOJ. Bove was previously deemed Trump’s “enforcer” by the mainstream media after he was tasked with leading the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group.

The task force is reviewing the conduct of federal prosecutors and FBI agents who pursued Trump and investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot, according to the attorney general’s press release.
