Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats believe they have found the path to impeaching Donald Trump.

And they just got a major boost that is bad news for the President.

That’s because this Obama judge just handed Donald Trump a defeat that will leave you speechless.

After the Robert Mueller investigation fizzled into a dud, Democrats turned their attention to Donald Trump’s finances.

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed documents from Mazars USA – the accounting firm for Donald Trump and the Trump Organization – to invade his privacy and comb through his financial records.

President Trump’s lawyers sued to block Mazars from handing over any records on the grounds that Congress needed a legitimate legislative purpose for issuing subpoenas.

Washington, D.C. District Court judge Amit Mehta rejected this argument and ruled in favor of the Democrats.

“Thus, it is not the court’s role to decipher whether Congress’s true purpose in pursuing an investigation is to aid legislation or something more sinister such as exacting political retribution,” Mehta wrote in a 41-page opinion.

But Judge Mehta was no unbiased observer.

Not only was Mehta an Obama judge, but Mehta donated thousands of dollars to the Obama 2012 re-election campaign.

President Trump and his lawyers never stood a chance from the outset.

The deck was stacked against them.

After the ruling, President Trump immediately declared their intention to appeal the decision the Washington, D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Trump supporters hope he fights this subpoena all the way to the Supreme Court.

There is a fundamental Constitutional question at stake, and it centers around resolving the dispute between two branches of government where Congress believes it has unlimited and unchecked power to usurp the executive branch’s power to conduct criminal investigations.
