Democrats are scrambling to respond to the release of the Mueller report which cleared the President on charges of Russian collusion.
That dashed their plan “A” to impeach Donald Trump.
But Democrats quickly regrouped, and Nancy Pelosi sent the one letter that turned Donald Trump’s world upside down.
When Robert Mueller turned in a final report that found no evidence of Russian collusion, Democrats needed a new plan of attack.
And with Congress on recess Speaker Nancy Pelosi circulated a “Dear Colleague” letter announcing a conference call for the entire Democrat caucus to plot their next move in their quest to nullify the results of the 2016 election.
Breitbart reports her letter stating:
“As we continue to review this document, we will have more to report and will update you on the next steps that must be taken,” Pelosi wrote. “The Caucus is scheduling a conference call for Monday to discuss this grave matter.” She continued:
This report includes several alarming findings, including that ‘the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election in sweeping and systematic fashion.’ It also explicitly states that the President’s campaign took actions with an expectation that ‘it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts.’
“In his summary letter and press conference, Attorney General Barr presented a conclusion that the President did not obstruct justice,” said Pelosi. “The Mueller report appears to directly undercut that claim.”
Influential Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib still support launching impeachment proceedings.
Their popularity with the radical Democrat Party voter base will make it impossible for Pelosi to duck a politically disastrous impeachment fight.
So Democrats will put their heads together and try to conjure up a new plan.
That appears to be a fishing expedition into Donald Trump’s finances.
But given the fact that the Mueller report cleared President Trump of the most severe charges, any Democrat attempt to conjure up a new pretext to impeach the President along partisan lines will fall on deaf ears with the American people.
