Another shoe just dropped in Barack Obama's worst scandal.
And this time it is former Attorney General Loretta Lynch whose conduct is under a microscope.
That's because Lynch was caught red-handed committing this one crime that could land her in jail.
There has been a cloud of suspicion hovering over former Attorney General Lynch's conduct during the 2016 election.
Lynch famously met with Bill Clinton aboard her government airplane on a Phoenix tarmac 48 hours before former FBI Director James Comey outrageous announced he would recommend the Department of Justice criminally charge Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information.
The bad news continued to pile up for Lynch when Comey testified in June 2017 that during the Clinton email investigation Lynch instructed him to refer to the investigation as a "matter."
Comey told a Senate committee this unnerved him because Lynch ordered him to use language to downplay the seriousness of the investigation that lined up with the Clinton campaign's talking points.
This revelation led some to question if Lynch should be prosecuted for obstruction of justice.
Now Lynch is facing perjury accusations.
In testimony to joint House panel last year, Lynch denied ever dictating to Comey that he refer to the Clinton email investigation as a "matter."
Lynch told the committee that, "I didn't direct anyone to use specific phraseology. When the Director asked me how to best to handle that, I said: What I have been saying is we have received a referral, and we are working on the matter, working on the issue, or we have all the resources we need to handle the matter, handle the issue."
Few believe this denial.
The perjury allegations against Lunch are only adding to the calls that Attorney General William Barr appoints a special counsel to investigate the Obama administration's conduct during the 2016 election.
Under former Attorney General Jeff Sessions that never would have happened.
But new leadership at the Department of Justice renewed hope that the rogues' gallery of villains in the Obama administration will be held accountable for trying to rig the 2016 election in Hillary Clinton's favor.
