FNC's Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about a report from the nonpartisan joint committee on taxation that says the "Inflation Reduction Act" currently bouncing around among Senate Democrats will raise taxes on most working Americans.
Doocy asked: "The Joint Committee on Taxation, which you guys heralded as an effective body when you were selling the infrastructure package, is not to be trusted here?"
Jean-Pierre said the report from the group, who they cited regarding the infrastructure bill earlier this year, is "incomplete" because it doesn't count the benefits from clean energy, planned utility cost savings, and alleged reductions in the cost of prescription drugs as actually being good enough to make up for the increase in taxes.
