Ghislaine Maxwell is scheduled to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in a closed-door deposition on February 9, according to Committee Chair James Comer.

The announcement that the Epstein co-conspirator will appear before the committee came as lawmakers considered contempt measures against Bill and Hillary Clinton, both of whom have defied subpoenas as part of the committee’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

"I agree we need to hear from Ghislaine Maxwell," Comer said. "We've been trying to get her in for a deposition.”

Maxwell’s deposition will be conducted virtually and behind closed doors. She is currently serving a 20-year sentence at a federal prison camp in Texas after being sentenced in 2022. Comer said Maxwell is expected to plead the Fifth.
