Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan told the Select Subcommittee of the Weaponization of the Federal Government the FBI’s response to Twitter was “no further comment” when asked if Hunter Biden’s laptop was real.
The Select Subcommittee met Thursday for a hearing on the alleged censorship from Big Tech firms and the Biden Administration. Emma-Jo Morris, former editor at the New York Post, testified in the hearing. The committee discussed the removal of her October 2020 story on Hunter Biden’s laptop from Twitter.
The FBI met with social media Big Tech companies ahead of the 2020 presidential election to combat alleged “misinformation.” During one of the meetings, Twitter employees asked about whether or not the laptop was real. FBI officials said “yes it is” and quickly followed up with “no further comment” according to Select Chief of the Federal Influence Task Force (FITF), Laura Dehmlow, who testified before the Select Subcommittee behind closed doors.
